Animation Crank Handle (Animaation apupyörä ry) is a non-profit organisation, founded in 2004, the objective of which it is to advance and develop animation as a form of art, enhance animation makers’ animation skills, and create opportunities for making non-commercial, independent animation films. It is this association’s guiding principle to gather resources for shared use, and lower the threshold for carrying out artistic, independent projects. The association’s 30 members are primarily young animation professionals.

Law of Nature

Law of Nature is an 18-episode series comprising 18 animation shorts, each 1-3 minute episode directed by a different director. All episodes are short autonomous stories that take a unique approach to a common subject. Various methods ranging from 3D animation to conventional drawn animation were used in creating the series. The series was co-produced with Yle Yhteistuotannot.
